Macaroni & Cheese w/ Pie Pumpkin & Gouda

November 20, 2022

Fall is in the air. Freshly cut grass. Drops of dew. And falling leaves are all around. As is the scent of freshly roasting pie pumpkin in my oven! There is only one time a year when you can get pie pumpkins. It’s one of […]

Pasta w/ Salmon & Kabocha Squash

November 10, 2022

I made an entire box of rigatoni. Don’t ask me why. I usually only make half a box at a time. But, for whatever reason, I just said let’s go for it! Maybe because I’ve been secretly craving pasta salad and I wanted extra for […]

Pasta w/ Sweet Potato & Yellow Bell Pepper

October 13, 2022

I have a problem with writing down recipes. It’s part of the reason that I have a food blog. If I have to post what I did? Then, I have to actually keep track of what I do. This ultimately means that, when I make […]

Macaroni & Cheese w/ Red Hubbard Squash

October 9, 2022

Macaroni and cheese is one of my favorite comfort foods. It’s rapidly turning into winter here. We’ve already had a few frost warnings. I’ve brought all of the plants inside that I want to try and winter over. And I’m getting on a plane in […]

Potato Bake w/ Greek Yogurt & Bell Peppers

September 11, 2022

Potato bakes have become my new fall favorite dish. There’s something so delicious about potatoes and maybe a little bit of eggs or cheese baked to perfection. Ordinarily I’m a big fan of Crustless Quiches. You can eat them all year round with winter produce […]

Jicama Fries w/ Cheddar Cheese

August 14, 2022

Apparently it’s Halloween, now? I’m not entirely sure how that happened because there are MONTHS until Halloween. And you all know how mad we get when they start rolling out Christmas in October. So, letting Halloween creep into the 4th of July afterglow is just […]

Potato Bake w/ Tomatoes, Zucchini, & Fresh Mozzarella

July 24, 2022

I have miniature multicolored potatoes, zucchini, and tomatoes on hand. Which sounds like a pasta salad. Although, as much as I enjoy a good pasta salad? I don’t particularly like the taste of cold noodles days later when I inevitably haven’t eaten all of it. […]

Potato Bake w/ Spinach, Greek Yogurt, & Gruyère

July 21, 2022

I wanted to make a quiche. I have potatoes and spinach. There’s even some leftover Grilled Salmon if I want to get fancy with it. Although I only have 3 eggs and 0 milk. So, I debated about making a half batch (ordinarily I use […]

Ravioli w/ Lemon, Ricotta, & Saffron Brigante Cheese

July 17, 2022

I am perpetually looking for semolina. I adore making homemade pasta. When I lived near Bob’s Red Mill and readily available 25 pound bags of semolina? I made pasta constantly. Now that I live in middle America, though? It’s incredibly difficult to track down. I […]

Dip w/ Serranos & Cream Cheese

June 2, 2022

I’m a big fan of cheesecakes. Every year around my birthday, I inevitably make myself a cheesecake. Which means that I go to Costco and have copious amounts cream cheese. And I either have to make an enormous amount of cheesecake or I have to […]

Top 5 Overrated Kitchen Gadgets NOT Worth Buying

Top 5 Overrated Kitchen Gadgets NOT Worth Buying

I hear what you're saying. The holidays are upon us. The overpriced culinary gadgets are finally on sale. But put down that copper pot. Step away from the Vitamix. And rethink that Instant Pot. Your counter space is too precious to spend that much money on things that you'll probably never use! Although, I do have some more useful recommendation, if you still think that you might want an all-purpose cooking contraption or fancy 19th century kitchen. Plus, nothing on this blog is sponsored. I just don't like it when people waste money on cooking fads. NAME ONE PERSON WHO ACTUALLY USES AN AT-HOME PRESSURE COOKER.
