Quinoa w/ Red Hubbard Squash, Ginger, & Turmeric

September 29, 2022

Fall is in full swing and I am absolutely in squash mode. There are several squash varieties that are available all year round. The staples, like acorn, butternut, and delicata squash, are almost always in every grocery store. Although once a year, for a few […]

Potato Bake w/ Greek Yogurt & Bell Peppers

September 11, 2022

Potato bakes have become my new fall favorite dish. There’s something so delicious about potatoes and maybe a little bit of eggs or cheese baked to perfection. Ordinarily I’m a big fan of Crustless Quiches. You can eat them all year round with winter produce […]

I don’t want to cook today. We all have those days where you have absolutely nothing to eat and have to do something, but just do not have the energy to make curry over the next four to eight hours. Which is entirely reasonable. I […]

Barbeque Peppers w/ Salmon & Avocado

July 10, 2022

The final days of summer are almost upon us. Daylight is beginning to dwindle and grilling season is coming to a close. Not that it’s not possible to barbecue during a snowstorm. It wouldn’t necessarily be my first choice? But, given a power outage in […]

Vermicelli Salad w/ Carrots & Bell Peppers

May 26, 2022

I’ve been making a lot of curries lately. The weather is turning to summer and I suppose that I wanted to get in all of my hot food fixes all at once! Although it’s finally pretty warm. Wisconsin routinely hovers around the 80s and 90s […]

March 24, 2022

It was St. Patrick’s Day yesterday and I’m still feeling green. I suspect that the feeling may stick around for another week, or at least until I run out of all of the spinach-tinted ingredients that I have leftover! Today, I am absolutely cracking into […]

It’s been an incredibly long week and I want nothing more than nachos today. I’ve really been dreaming about them all day. I had a big omelette for breakfast and skipped lunch specifically because I knew that I was going to make a big plate […]

Tomorrow is St. Patrick’s Day and I absolutely must use the rest of my leftovers before I inevitably cook more! I have plans for something delectably green for the holiday and absolutely do not want to be sitting on copious amounts of rice and salmon […]

I have rice sitting around. The other day I made a Salad w/ Baked Salmon & Tamari, Rice Wine Rice. As delicious as that recipe is! I don’t particularly like eating the exact same thing every day. So, I’ll take the leftover rice and make […]

Fried Rice w/ Broccoli, Bell Peppers, & Eggs

March 3, 2022

I went into this week thinking that I was probably going to make fried rice. I don’t make fried rice all that often. As someone who doesn’t eat much meat, it’s one of the dishes that people oftentimes point to going, “See, you can eat […]

Top 5 Overrated Kitchen Gadgets NOT Worth Buying

I hear what you're saying. The holidays are upon us. The overpriced culinary gadgets are finally on sale. But put down that copper pot. Step away from the Vitamix. And rethink that Instant Pot. Your counter space is too precious to spend that much money on things that you'll probably never use! Although, I do have some more useful recommendation, if you still think that you might want an all-purpose cooking contraption or fancy 19th century kitchen. Plus, nothing on this blog is sponsored. I just don't like it when people waste money on cooking fads. NAME ONE PERSON WHO ACTUALLY USES AN AT-HOME PRESSURE COOKER.
