Nachos w/ Chocolate Curry, Saffron Rice, & Avocados

February 7, 2021

When you think of curry, one of the last things that you likely think of are it in combination of nachos! And I will admit that curry in nachos is by no means a traditional meal. Let alone chocolate curry nachos with saffron rice and […]

Nachos w/ Calabaza Squash Curry

January 28, 2021

One of my favorite late night snack meals is nachos. I am constantly craving them when I just don’t have the time or the energy to cook! A lot of the time I will refrain. Because tortilla chips and copious amounts of cheese and sour […]

Fried Eggs w/ Squash, Brown Rice, & Avocados

October 25, 2020

I am in an egg mood this week. Oftentimes I’m busy and don’t have the time or the energy for breakfast. Which is a shame because I do love it! And it is good to start out the day with good food, instead of starving […]

Omelette w/ Squash, Brown Rice, & Avocados

October 22, 2020

A lot of the time I make brown rice specifically for burritos. They’re one of my staple easy to make on the run foods. But this morning I had some time off and wanted to make something a little bit more special. A lot of […]

Salad w/ Tofu Steak, Guacamole, & Tomatillo Salsa

July 19, 2020

Tofu steak salad is one of my favorite things in the morning! There’s nothing quite so light that is also incredibly filling. I’ve been making tofu steak salads all summer and I can’t get enough of them. This variation combines Roasted Tomatillo Salsa, Guacamole, and […]

The Fundamentals of Making Guacamole

July 15, 2020

Guacamole is my go-to easy dish to bring to events. As a side dish at barbecues. With drinks with friends. Every day of the week with Mexican food. Although we are in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic and not actually doing most of that […]

Burrito w/ Sweet Potatoes, Mesclun, & Avocados

July 2, 2020

There’s nothing quite so refreshing in the morning than a burrito made with sweet potatoes and garden vegetables. For this garden burrito, I used sweet potatoes, avocados, and mesclun that I painstakingly grew in my garden! I like having fresh lettuce in the summer. Especially […]

Top 5 Overrated Kitchen Gadgets NOT Worth Buying

Top 5 Overrated Kitchen Gadgets NOT Worth Buying

I hear what you're saying. The holidays are upon us. The overpriced culinary gadgets are finally on sale. But put down that copper pot. Step away from the Vitamix. And rethink that Instant Pot. Your counter space is too precious to spend that much money on things that you'll probably never use! Although, I do have some more useful recommendation, if you still think that you might want an all-purpose cooking contraption or fancy 19th century kitchen. Plus, nothing on this blog is sponsored. I just don't like it when people waste money on cooking fads. NAME ONE PERSON WHO ACTUALLY USES AN AT-HOME PRESSURE COOKER.
