Salad w/ Salmon, Fresh Salsa, & Avocado Dip

July 1, 2021

Last week I made Blackened Tilapia. So, it seemed only fitting to keep the seafood trend going and opt for salmon today! I’m particularly fond of baked salmon. So, it should be no surprise that it’s the natural progression. I also still have a plethora […]

Burrito w/ Sweet Potato Quinoa & Avocado Salsa

June 27, 2021

This week is a week for absolutely delicious leftovers. I have Quinoa w/ Sweet Potatoes, Tahini, & Tamari and Salsa w/ Avocado, Cucumber, & Tomatoes in the refrigerator. Quinoa is a light and airy dish that pairs incredibly well with a light and refreshing avocado […]

Burrito w/ Blackened Tilapia & Avocado Salsa

June 27, 2021

I have several pre-existing meals in my refrigerator right now. I am a big proponent of making one big meal or a bunch of little meals and then repurposing them all week! That way I always have homemade food to eat. While I don’t actually […]

Blackened Tilapia w/ Avocado Salsa & Dip

June 24, 2021

I’ve been in kind of a Mexican and Mediterranean kick. I just made a fresh Avocado Salsa and I’ve been obsessed with making Avocado Dip lately. So, when it came down to what to eat today? I knew that both of those would have to feature […]

Burrito w/ Sweet Potato, Tamari, & Tahini Quinoa

June 20, 2021

I have maybe made this recipe more than anything else in the last year. It’s hands down one of my favorite things to eat. The sweet potato replaces rice in a more typical burrito flawlessly. And has a more complex flavor profile with bitter and […]

Burrito w/ Yellow Squash, Lettuce, & Avocado

June 17, 2021

I have some fresh produce ripening in the garden. It’s still early in the season, so nothing huge is ready quite yet. But I do have radish and lettuce ready to be picked. Yesterday, I used a bunch of the lettuce for Nachos w/ Yellow […]

Nachos w/ Yellow Squash, Lettuce, & Avocado

June 17, 2021

I planted a bunch of fruits and vegetables in my garden. This season, the first wave of produce is just beginning to ripen. Which I’m quite excited about it. I’ve been turning radish into Vermicelli Salad w/ Bell Peppers, Tofu, & Peanuts and Falafel w/ […]

The Fundamentals of Blackened Tilapia

June 15, 2021

I am a big fan of blackened tilapia. I would wager to say that it’s one of the easier fish to cook. Tilapia are so small compared to something like salmon or even whole cod, that there isn’t a lot of guess work in cooking […]

Top 5 Overrated Kitchen Gadgets NOT Worth Buying

Top 5 Overrated Kitchen Gadgets NOT Worth Buying

I hear what you're saying. The holidays are upon us. The overpriced culinary gadgets are finally on sale. But put down that copper pot. Step away from the Vitamix. And rethink that Instant Pot. Your counter space is too precious to spend that much money on things that you'll probably never use! Although, I do have some more useful recommendation, if you still think that you might want an all-purpose cooking contraption or fancy 19th century kitchen. Plus, nothing on this blog is sponsored. I just don't like it when people waste money on cooking fads. NAME ONE PERSON WHO ACTUALLY USES AN AT-HOME PRESSURE COOKER.
