Homemade Whipped Cream is a surprisingly simple recipe to make. All it takes is heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and a little bit of elbow grease. It's something children are actually pretty good at making if you want to keep their hands busy. Otherwise, I usually just put a bowl in front of the burliest man in the room and say that I know they've got this. You'll have homemade whipped cream in 5 minutes. Otherwise, a good whisk or a mixer will make whipped cream in no time. It's done when stiff peaks form or you can turn the bowl upside-down and none of the cream falls out. If you whip too much, you make butter, though. So, don't keep going or use too powerful of a mixer!
Add all of the ingredients to a large bowl and whisk. This takes about 15 minutes by hand. Alternatively, you can use a handheld or stand mixer to cut it down to about 5 minutes.Whisk until stiff peaks are formed. You should be able to pull the whisk out of the bowl and the whipped cream should stay in little mountains. If peaks don't form, whip for longer. Although make sure not to over whip the cream. It will then create butter!
